EK9 H22A version.....

This nice looking HONDA civic turn up for tuning...............Recently we see lots of engine conversion to K20A engine, however H22A is not many I recon!!! Till open the bonnet.....it's hard to tell( the engine sound is different but)!

(H22A engine.....looks very natural.........) The engine sit very natural...However..

some parts are very tight fit....but....looks OK!!! The engine is stock still!!

Red:DC5...Blue:H22A

And our curiosity......which engine is better???.......................Let's compare with DC5 with V-AFC tune and this H22A EK9 with power FC.....the top power is almost the same ......However...the torque is obvious!! H22A still going strong!!!And maybe....reasonable than K20 conversion??!!

NEED 3RD TIME LUCKY?!!

It was the second time to see this super wide body FD3s........for tuning......First time was...even we couldn't get car running......faulty fuel system....

And second time........we could do to tuning(^_^)""""".............However...

Still have a problem.......just finished tuning to make it drivable.....Don't want to push too hard till everything fixed properly!!!....Because THIS IS THE CONCRETE MIXER!!!

Before get worst.....

If your vehicle or engine is more than 15 years old, it's time to refresh water hoses before get worst...................(worst case...leak from water hose....lost all coolant....and blew head gasket etc etc)

Ideally ...change all hoses, water pump, etc when engine is out of the car....much easier to do..
This is big job!!

Found Copy...........Apexi Version This Time

We see lots of copy products recently.......In this time, I saw Apexi boost gauge....

Until we opened the box....................



Look at carefully........(real one on the left)


I didn't realize it was copy........................They have done good job??...............





However in this case......we cannot use this boost gauge to connect other real APEXi gauges..




(The plugs are different.....So... doesn't work with real one(*_*)"""""!.

Please be careful when you buy.......but how can you make sure, if you don't know much about it, even myself...took time to find out....

ALTEZZA bolt on turbo

This TOYOTA Altezza has Apexi bolt on kit........the engine has head gasket etc(not sure but)......

Looks decent work....well..... if you have a gasket....crank B***h up....but Little bit...this time..

We try up to 1.2 bar and made 225kw....However 1 bar made 220kw......This small turbo is max around 1 bar I recon.....But good gain tho....from not even 100kw standard to 220kw...feel different car!!

D2 brake.......

We fit D2 brake system..............fit OK but are they good or piece of SH**T???

This week is SUBARU week...learn more..!

And parts from Trade me..(this one for SR20DET)......cheap front pipe....stainless steel but.....crack at middle of the pipe.....try to weld on top of crack...but too thin and........this is cheap low grade stainless steel....better to buy new one! not same one again please....

Keyboad!

Need New Keyboad for Dyno.......this one was one of my favrote.....joystick mouse.wireless.
But broken now....

can't get same one.....Does anyone sell like this one??

SINGLE or SIX THROTTLE???

Today we tuned this R32GTST with RB26..................Forged internal??? and single turbo, camshaft??pump etc etc and Power FC, However injector was still stock.(440cc)


The engine has two stage throttle................??!!

As you can see.....original six throttle is still there and big single is on the other end......What for????

Is that two stage throttle or something???.....hung on......the six throttle is fully open by wire!??

again.....what for???

We were confused but...............anyway?? customer demand?....... started to tune.............As we expected the factory stock injector was max before 300kw....so.....changed to lager one...

The final result....over 320kw at wheel 1.3 bar of boost........I think if we remove either one throttle, made more.......what do you think???

JUST OUT OF BOX BUT...................ver2

It's good to know what is your car condition is.........especially when you buy a import car.
In this case.....just out of box.....R32GTR, Full exhaust, head gasket, 2530 turbo, injector, power FC, etc


Just check power first.......................can not run properly, because of exhaust restrictor was too small....0.6 bar max(even boost controller was max!!) 160kw only....sad ass. Anyway remove restrictor and power run again......
The air flowmeter wasn't working!........change...and this time.........over 260kw at
.9 bar of boost..........HOWEVER......still something wrong....fuel pressure was drop at 6000rpm...so gone to too lean......check power supply to pump.......(only 10v.....sad ass!!)


But finally...................CRANK B***h up time!!
This B***H made over 380kw at wheel almost 1.45 bar, !!
It took almost whole day but worth it!!........B***h need proper check up and maintenance even out of box!!!
